Fruits

Drying and freezing

Freeze-dried, IQF and sun-dried fruit — three methods, one production family.

Drying and freezing

Fruit from the harvest is prepared on one production family. Freeze-drying, IQF freezing and sun-drying are methods on that family — not three unrelated shops.

Material is received, prepared, then dried or frozen according to the method the line is running. What leaves the plant is packed production for partners who work with bulk ingredients.

Three methods

  • Freeze-dried fruit — moisture removed under freeze-drying
  • IQF frozen fruit — individually quick-frozen pieces
  • Dried fruits — sun-dried production from the same family

This note does not list varieties, seasons or pack sizes. It describes how the fruit line is organised.
